About Pan American Montessori Society

Pan American Montessori Society is a non-profit International Educational Society. Founded in 1973, with the purpose of providing the highest level of preparation to Montessori guides worldwide.

Our society was founded by Dr. Feland Meadows and Dr. Elizabeth Caspari; who was a direct student of Dr. María Montessori and worked with her, for 4 years, during the Second World War.
​
After World War II she opened the first Children’s House in the United States and also offered the first Montessori Teacher Training course in the United States in 1953.
Dr. Feland Meadows is an internationally recognized authority in the field of Montessori Education.
A life dedicated to the training of more than 4,000 Montessori Guides in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, France and Switzerland.
Why PAMS?
PAMS is a recognized international Montessori organization providing the highest degree of Montessori Training in several countries around the world. It's expanded, enriched curriculum goes beyond the Montessori areas. It aims to serve teachers and children of different languages and cultures around the world, integrating new tendencies from the second language field such as a translanguaging mindset in the Montessori classrooms. In addition to the Montessori Pedagogy, it offers workshops for parents and educators to continue learning specific strategies that support children at the socio-emotional level encouraging children to find a sense of belonging and significance in their community.

The Gold represents our COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION which has served as the benchmark for all of our work from the time our Society was founded by Elizabeth Caspari and Feland and Joan Meadows in 1973.
